Old Mercers' Benevolent Fund

The Old Mercers’ Benevolent Fund (OMBF) was established on 2 May 1980 with funds originating from the former Old Mercers’ Endowment Fund. It came under the Mercers’ Company’s corporate trusteeship on 1 April 2018.

The OMBF is a registered charity (number 280208) with a modest amount of funds, which is to be used for the benefit of such persons as have been pupils or masters at Mercers’ School or who are the wives, widows, children or other dependants of such persons, and who are in necessitous circumstances and in need of charitable relief.

Applications are considered with absolute discretion by the OBMF’s Grants Committee, which is made up of the following former pupils of the Mercers’ School:
